Somehow we have managed to have five children dressed in coordinating, cute clothes the past two Sundays in a row. And made it to church early (8:30am) that's pretty much a miracle that required hours of preparation.
But please don't look at them or me or jay and think "wow, they've got this all together." We don't. We struggle with lots of parenting issues and marriage decisions and the monotony of laundry, dishes, and shoes piled by the door. We crave sleep and vacation and quiet and naps. We lose our patience with kids, each other, and ourselves. We desperately need Jesus to do this.
I usually just post all of the great things on the blog about our family life. Cute pictures, fun events, funny stories, etc. please don't read those and think that it's a full picture of our life. It's just the slice you get to view. There's plenty more and I struggle with the balance of how much is appropriate to share publicly --it's not really appropriate to put all of our private lives out there. But by only posting the good and cute things, I don't want anyone else to think that's all there is to our life.
So just remember that this is just a slice of our life. You're welcome to come on over if you want the whole pie.
