Catherine and Will went for their 3 year and 15 month checkups this week. Overall, everyone is very healthy, for which we are immensely thankful. Catherine is now about 37 inches tall (40%) and weighs just under 26 lbs (5%). Will is a little over 31 inches tall (60%) and weighs a little over 26 lbs (75%). They are both growing well, at their own pace and with different body types, but pretty consistently.
There was one small area of concern for Catherine. She has an umblical hernia above her belly button that she's had since birth, but it has never healed. At this point, it will probably not ever heal on its own, so we are going to see a pediatric surgeon about having it fixed. I think that's a pretty routine procedure and I really don't know many details yet. She doesn't even know anything about it yet and we figured we wouldn't worry her until we know something more definitive.
Will saw the allergist today for a checkup too. We are changing/increasing some of his medications for his allergy/asthma issues. He actually has seemed some better over the past 2 months, but if he gets a cold or any kind of upper respiratory thing he wheezes pretty badly. The intensity of each episode has gotten worse, even though they aren't that frequent. He's only had 2 episodes since October, but they both made me a little scared. So, he will now be using Pulmicort in his nebulizer (breathing treatment) twice a day and continue taking Zyrtec. We are also adding Singulair and Nasonex medicines to keep the upper respiratory issues under better control. The goal is to have him stable so that if he does get a cold, his body won't respond with wheezing or other issues. We also want him to be in a healthy situation before we head into spring with any seasonal allergy flareups.
Okay, that's enough medical updates. Here are a few cute pics from the last week:

Will loves, loves, loves to be outside, even if it is 20 degrees and freezing. Lately the only time I'll take him out is when I take Eli (the dog) out to potty. Will runs around the yard and especially loves running up and down the little hill in the front yard. He is always so sad when we go back in that he just lays down on the floor and cries. Hopefully warmer weather will be here soon so that he can have lots of outside play time.
