Circus party

Last Saturday our church's Orphan Care ministry hosted a Circus Party for the local children's home. We have been trying to establish an ongoing relationship with the workers and children there over the past few years. We go there a few times per year for work days and meals and to play, but we also wanted to have them come to us to play too.

The party was a huge success. The kids loved the games (parachutes, clown relay, etc) and crafts. We even had someone making cotton candy and popcorn and a magician perform.

We aren't allowed to take pics of the kids but here are a few pics of Catherine
and Will enjoying the activities too. I love that they think it's a great experience to be with these kids who don't currently have families--to develop compassion and understanding in their hearts from a young age for others who need to be shown the love of Christ.
